Visit of Rotary Group Study Exchange Team From Argentina |
|
Over the Easter weekend, Thornbury Rotarians hosted and entertained a group
from Argentina who are visiting the West Country as part of an exchange of young business professionals
between the UK and Argentina. |
|
Rotary International's Group Study Exchange programme sponsors and promotes these exchanges to increase
international friendship and understanding, particularly among young people. |
|
Our visitors spent five weeks in Gloucestershire, Somerset, Bristol and Swindon.
They were hosted by Rotarian families, and had the opportunity to learn about how we live and work, especially
in businesses and professions related to their own. Our own team had previously spent a similar five weeks
in the Buenos Aires area of Argentina. |
 |
The team, lead by Rotarian Hugo Zeven (centre), are pictured on their
visit to the SS Great Britain. From left to right (excluding Hugo)
they are:
Ignacio Gesualdi, a supply chain specialist, sponsored by the
Rotary Club of Haedo.
Mauro Casal, who works in occupational risk insurance (Rotary
Club of Lobos).
Andres Carlos Paipa, a psychologist and therapist (Rotary Club
of Caseros Norte).
Gustavo Trucco, a school teacher and adult educationist (Rotary
Club of Boscho). |
