Thornbury Run 4 Fun and Walk 4 Fun 2007 |

In good conditions - much better than the preceding week - 104 runners and 96 walkers
competed over the four-mile course sent on their way by Deputy Town Mayor Councillor Phyllida Parsloe.
Starting and finishing on the Munday Playing fields, the course was
over various street and footpaths |

The overall winner was Keiron Leeson of the Dursley Athletics Club.
Phil Lucker was runner up (just!) and Mark Curtiss. was placed
third. |

The first three ladies past the post were Emma Brown (right, with
Rotary President Adrian Dennis), Yvonne Cox and Rosina Rowland |

The increase in participants (10% more than 2006) and the success of
the event means that, after expenses, at least £1,000 will be
available to donate to Kidney Research UK. the chosen beneficiary. |

The Rotary and Running Clubs are very grateful to the many volunteers who assisted on the day, particularly the members of Thornbury
Scouts and Severn Ambulance, and are especially grateful to Bonds of
