Thornbury Rotary 2012 Swimarathon |

The annual 'Big Splash' has become a very popular and successful local Charity Fundraising event. It has raised more than £270,000 over the past 27 years |

The 2012 Swimarathon is at the Thornbury Leisure Centre on 9th, 10th and 11th March. The principal beneficiaries in 2012 will be Cancer Research UK and Meningitis UK, together with local and other good causes. |

The event is run over three evenings and a good deal of the time to the accompaniment of the Castle School Steel Band. This provides a lively atmosphere which is enjoyed by swimmers, supporters and sponsors alike. |

Here's how it works. Teams of up to 6 people swim in relay for 55 minutes, complete as many lengths as possible and get their friends and families to sponsor them. Please download and complete the attached forms (below) as follows: |

Download the Entry Form, complete it and return it to the Swimarathon Organiser (details below), requesting one of the following session days/times |

Download a Sponsorship Form for each swimmer to request sponsorship from friends, family or work colleagues. Donations can be gift-aided so that the tax can be reclaimed and the funds increased by 25%. Use separate forms (as many as you need) for each team member. |

The Captain should download and complete the Team Members Form, list the team members and bring it and the Sponsorship Forms to the event. |
